Tori Bedford – Acrylic and Posco Pen Artist

Tori Bedford spends much of her time looking to nature for inspiration. Growing up in the Adelaide Hills, Tori is frequently drawn to the serenity of Bushland Park in Lobethal. Visits to local gardens and parks yield stunning works representative of the calm and peace Tori feels when walking through nature.

Themes of nature, birds, and spirals are hallmarks of Tori’s creative style. Repeated lines and patterns create a balance of positive and negative space that drift over the surface. A peacemaker dove glides across the canvas, concentric backgrounds draw the viewer’s eye across patterned landscapes. The elements, earth, wind, or water may reveal an ethereal being.

The Symbols by Tori Bedford

These artworks reflect Tori’s deliberate, thoughtful, quiet, and confident creation process. Frequently drawn to the colour blue for it’s calming nature, Tori predominantly works with paint markers and acrylic on canvas, gravitating to an abstract means of expression. The colours are chosen for the mood they evoke, imagery is selected based on the joy or peace it brings, titles are thoughtfully bestowed at the completion of a work.
